The cooking time will remain the same, but you can halve the ingredients. I’d recommend using a smaller crockpot for it.

Yes, you can substitute dried rosemary for a fresh sprig! Since dried herbs are more concentrated, use about 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary in place of one fresh sprig. Just crush it slightly between your fingers before adding it to help release the flavor. It won’t be quite the same as fresh, but it’ll still add great flavor to your short ribs.

I LOVE fresh rosemary, but don’t have any on hand : (

Thyme is a great replacement for rosemary. I am also not a fan of Rosemary.

Ooooo, good question! Sage always has an interesting herbacious profile and I always love tarragon. For more mild, subtle herbs you could try oregano or thyme (or a combination of both).

I made these and my husband and I devoured them. I am not a huge fan of rosemary (loved them regardless) suggestions for a different herb that might go well?

A very simple recipe that my husband was able to follow. We did add a bit of tomato paste but I still wish it had more depth to it.

Not bad. Not great but I’m not complaining because my husband cooked it.

Yes, they have less meat, but they have a lot of flavor! They are leaner and may not be as tender as short ribs. To keep them moist, make sure to cook them low and slow, just like the recipe suggests.
